Let the world change you and you can change the world was once quoted by Ernesto Rafael Guevara de la Serna (June 14, 1928 - October 9, 1967), who was regularly known as Che Guevara. History books, media and vast events of life have given the generation of today information on the revolutionary individuals before us. However, Ernesto Che Guevara gave us the knowledge of knowing him and his passion through his own words in his journey of the Motorcycle diaries. In his own words, we take a influential journey through his mind while he was a physician and we are given reasons to what lead him to take part in revolutionary riots such those against dictators such Juan Peron in Argentina in 1952.

In life to be an influential leader or simply influential person, we need to stand for what we believe, and fight against injustice. Che Guevara was a typical medical student in the start of the movie; however he leaves his upper middle class life to fulfill his dream to explore Latin America, which at the time was unknown to him. But thorough his journey, he made saddening discovery of intense poverty and injustice in Argentina and the rest of Latin America. He met variety of people that all shared common goals such as being free from life of poverty and being free to educate themselves to a better life. The diverse geography and life story he encounters begins to change his perspective on life. The injustice and poverty shared by the people raises questions about the lack of progress in the economical and political system of Latin America. Ernesto was not one to follow, however he was a person of change whom took the chance to listen to those left out by the political and economical system. The journey awakens him within, and later become the defining theme of his battle against poverty, injustice and discrimination.

We could feel the world changing around us, or was it us? The deeper we go the more indigenous people we encounter, who are homeless in their own land, quotes Ernesto Che Guevara. Some facts of life are simply alarming, and those who are alarmed by them are those who are willing to make changes. To be homeless in your own land is experienced by many of us, however it is a changeable fact of life if desired to be changed. Che Guevara desired change, therefore he fought for change. He believed that there is no such thing as liberators in the world; however we can be inspired and learn to liberate ourselves. He later became a significant person in Latin America who led inspiring and enormous victories such as the fall of Batista regime in Cuba. His life passion and responsibility was to eliminate imperialism which he believed was the foundation of cheap labour that leads to many poverty and inequality acts.

The motorcycle diary was inspiring to watch, for a person whos eager for change and is inspired by legendary works. The movie takes you away to a time where we werent afraid of our daily routines to be changed to the extreme. It takes you to a world and time where there was a person who let the world change him, so he can change the world. The journey to knowledge of what is surrounds us often leads to legendary events, and Che Guevara lead variety of events.

Presently, there are those who follow a leader without a vision, but we have yet to see a leader that leads for the dream and the vision of those who are homeless in their own land. Let us be inspired by our past, so we can make the changes necessary for today. To be inspired by our past, we can be the change of this generation and influence and led many generations to the road of freedom, equality and peace.
