NEWSDESK, Nov 9 (DozaMe.org) - The Iraqi president and also the head of the PUK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) Jalal Talabani told reporters of the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that an independent Kurdistan was just a dream. "And you know what a 'dream' is, don't you?" Talabani told reporters.

"No Kurdish officials in Iraq are working for an independent Kurdistan. We are only trying to do something that is possible and reachable," he said.

Talabani also made a call to the Kurdish resistance movement PKK, telling them to drop their weapons, denounce their struggle, which Talabani calls 'terrorism', and hand themselves over to Turkey
